Description
No Hope, No Fear is a virtual reality-based interactive installation that explores emotional trauma and psychological rupture within intimate relationships through the construction of two symbolic digital characters. Inspired by Nietzsche’s duality of the Apollonian and the Dionysian, the two figures represent opposing states: one embodies control and restraint, the other chaos and release.
Viewers engage with the characters through drawing, voice input, and narrative prompts, generating their own visual traces within the experience. The work incorporates interview fragments, sound, imagery, and responsive movement systems to build a shared emotional space—one that speaks not only to "the other" but also becomes a mirror for the self.
Rather than reenacting pain, No Hope, No Fear creates a space to explore the quiet, often nonlinear process of emotional repair.
